Coming into Saturday's game Purdue was 1-18 against top-10 ranked opponents. Despite their troubles in the past, Purdue walked out of Mackey with a victory and a chance to improve their position in the Big Ten rankings. Purdue's last victory against a top-10 team also came this season in Mackey Arena. Saturday's atmosphere may have been the best so far this season. I was only able to stick around for the first half, but you can tell why it is so hard for Big Ten teams to play on the road. It seems every arena rises to the occasion, and the roof barely stays connected when a team gets on a roll.
